This is an outline of the steps necessary in setting up your pool and operating each week.
Beginning a New Pool
1. Run Mac QB Share and open one of the demo pools.
2. From the File Menu, choose New.
3. Mac QB Share will erase all the data from the demo pool except the team names and create a shareware file.
3. Enter the Season Settings data.
4. In the Weekly Pool Settings, enter the Pool Title and Sub-Title, and set the parameters for your new pool.
5. Enter Team and/or Player Names if you like.
6. Select Save from the File Menu. Enter a name for your new pool file.
Advancing the Week Number
Mac QB is designed to begin with week 1 and continue up to week 25. However, if you are starting the pool after the season has begun or you need to skip a couple of weeks during the season, you can inveigle Mac QB to skip to the week you want.
• If you do not have a schedule entered for the weeks you want to skip, enter a bogus schedule of one game for each of the weeks.
• Choose "Correct Scores" in the Pool Menu and select the last week you want to skip. Enter scores for the game or games in the schedule for that week.
Note: If you do not have scores entered for week 1, "Correct Scores" will be dimmed. Enter bogus scores for week 1. This will activate "Correct Scores".
The Pool Menu items will now be advanced past the weeks you skipped.
